The newspaper EL VIGIA confirms based on PUERTOS DEL ESTADO and its President statement that “the investments foreseen in this port, and included in the General State Budgets for 2018, amount to more than 15 million euros. Much of this item will be allocated to intermodality and to the improvement of the environmental conditions in which port activities are carried out, such as the implementation of a power supply system for ships, a project in which Pasaia will be a pilot port to put in practice that berthing ships connect to the electric grid, making the port activity sustainable on the path of decarbonization”.
