The Balearic Port Authority decides to contract a technical Project to enable the electrical connection to determined ships that dock in the port of Palma de Mallorca. The order has been awarded to the public company ISDEFE and has an execution term of about three months. ISDEFE has great experience in this new technology that will allow ships to turn off their auxiliary engines and obtain from the general electrical network, the energy required by onboard equipment. This innovative initiative is part of an intense R&D activity or this Port Authority and will benefit air quality in the City of Palma.
