Main Spanish shipping liners operating in Canary Archipelago will be provided with OPS in spring next year 2019

04/10/2018 Port Authority of Tenerife announces this week at Word Ports Sustainability Program web site that OPS facilities will be operational in Spring 2019 at the Canary ports of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, La Palma and La Gomera.

All three ports are embedded in their urban communities and the operation of the new OPS facilities will be having a high positive social impact.

Word Ports Sustainability Program aims to demonstrate global leadership of ports in contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. The program wants to empower port community actors worldwide to engage with business, governmental and societal stakeholders in creating sustainable added value for the local communities and wider regions in which their ports are embedded.
